The food perishes —
but the reward is eternal

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Charity does not decrease wealth. No one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour. And no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him in status.'

Charity (Ṣadaqah) in Islam is a voluntary act of giving done sincerely for the sake of Allah. It reflects compassion, purifies wealth, and strengthens community bonds. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Charity does not decrease wealth." (Muslim) — it purifies the soul and helps build a just and caring society.
"Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah… will have their reward with their Lord." (Qur'an 2:274). Charity increases blessings, earns immense reward — especially when given secretly — and brings peace of heart to the giver.
Yes — it is permissible and encouraged to give charity on behalf of a deceased loved one or a living person, and the reward reaches them. Many donors give on behalf of parents as an ongoing act of remembrance.
100% of donations go directly to our programmes — food distribution, school fees, clean water, orphan support, and emergency relief. We publish regular updates to our donors and welcome full transparency into how funds are used.
