Who We Are

A community-rooted organisation in the heart of Nairobi

Ansar Islamic Organization (AIO) has been working in Nairobi’s informal settlements since 1998, guided by the principles of compassion, equity, and Islamic social responsibility. We are based at Mareba Mosque, Lunga Lunga — serving the most vulnerable families where the need is greatest.

Our work spans education for orphans and youth, monthly food distribution, access to clean water, economic empowerment programs, and permanent housing through the AYTAM Waqf project. Every initiative is designed to build lasting change, not temporary relief.
